Small and Useless Update
1. I have begun screening anonymous comments. If you don't have anything useful to say in the journal, then I'll just delete it. Trolls, if you feel the need to comment, at least have something smart to say, your pathetic comments are just wasting space.

2. I changed my bio crap around. I think my old bio was throwing people off too much. I have a mission statement now and some other random things I tossed in there. Check out the new bio here.

3. I've been busy with other things so I have been neglecting this journal. It feels lonely. I read this typo today and thought of this journal, so I'm going to do another Typo of the Day because I don't have anything more useful to contribute.

Today's typo of the day comes from a really lovely Lord of the Rings fic I was reading. It goes a little something like this:
"...he was both incredibly grateful to Erestor for deciding he wasn't working well enough and brining him on this trip..."

It's only a forgotten "g" but it makes all the difference. I don't know about you, but I don't really like my elves floating in pickle jars.

At any rate, that concludes this small and useless update. Stay tuned for something that is hopefully more interesting later on down the road.

You never know. Briny elves could be really tasty. ;)

I'm sure they're a great delicacy for orcs or something. Pickled elf ears or some such.

Personally, I prefer my elves alive and kicking and not soaked in brine. Unless of course they've been having sex on the beach. ;)

Well, Mr. Tolkein's elves are drawn to the sea. So what do they do when they get there? It could be a fun theory to play around with. Sure, you can argue that they're just sailing away, but where's the fun in that? Hot briney elf action is much more attractive than pickled elf toes sitting on a shelf between the pickles and the olives.

The image of elves frolicking at the sea shore having clam bakes, twisting the night away to the tunes of Frankie Avalon and playing beach volleyball ... just broke my brain.

I think I have some superglue for that broken brain of yours, but look what you did to my brain!

I see Glorfindel running around in a hula skirt with a can of beer clutched in each hand, leading the congo line around the shore. Elrond quietly sits by the fire nibbling on his food until said drunk elf catches him and whirls him off into some crazy dizzy hip-grinding dance that ends up with them sprawled out at the water's edge rolling around through the sea foam, attached at the mouth. Glorfindel's hula skirt gets washed out at sea, but neither of them care as they become much more interested in certain other activities.

leading the congo line around the shore

Whoa . . . getting some severe Heart of Darkness imagery with that one . . . ;)
